Behind the lens…

Hi, I’m Jacqulyn

My background spans over 20 years in fashion, portrait, and brand photography, which has deeply shaped the way I approach weddings.

Working with creatives, designers, and real people in front of the camera has given me a strong eye for light, composition, and storytelling — but also a calm, encouraging way of working with people who may feel nervous being photographed.

Alongside real weddings, I’ve also taken part in thoughtfully curated styled shoots, which allow me to explore creativity, refine my aesthetic, and bring a more editorial sensibility into my work. The result is wedding photography that feels both genuine and elevated — beautifully composed, emotionally honest, and always centred around real connection

FAQ’s

Why Luv + Lux?

I’m Jacqulyn Hamilton, the photographer behind Luv + Lux.

Luv + Lux was born from my love of connection, thoughtful storytelling, and creating images that feel both timeless and true to you — blending more than 20 years of fashion and portrait experience with the joy of capturing real moments.

How would you describe your style?

My style is natural, emotive, and gently editorial. I focus on real moments, beautiful light, and honest connection, with a relaxed approach that never feels stiff or overly posed. Think timeless, creative images with an editorial, romantic feel.

We’re nervous in front of the camera — can you help?

Absolutely. Most of my couples tell me this!

I guide you gently where needed but never over-direct. My goal is always to help you feel comfortable, relaxed, and like yourselves, so your photos feel genuine rather than forced.

Do you offer film photography?

Yes — film is a big part of my work. I offer 35mm, medium format (120), and Polaroid alongside digital coverage. Film adds a softness, depth, and sense of nostalgia that beautifully complements digital images.

We love your work but noticed you have fewer weddings than some photographers.

That’s because my background spans over 20 years across fashion, portrait, and brand photography. I’ve recently brought that experience more fully into weddings, which allows me to combine strong technical skill with a calm presence and an editorial eye. My couples benefit from both experience and intention.

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book 6–18 months in advance, especially for peak summer dates. That said, it’s always worth getting in touch — I sometimes have last-minute availability too at reduced rates to fill my calender.

Do you travel?

Yes — I photograph weddings across the UK and am always happy to travel further afield. Travel costs are discussed transparently depending on location.

When will we receive our photos?

You’ll receive a small preview gallery within a few days, with your full gallery delivered within 6–8 weeks.

How do we book you?

Just fill in the enquiry form with a few details about your day. If I’m available, I’ll send over full pricing based on your requirements and we can arrange a relaxed call or email to chat through everything.

Im really looking forward to hearing from you!
